Tres cosas que tienes que hacer antes de los 25

Antes de complicarte la vida como no te lo puedas imaginar, tienes que regalarte tres cosas que nadie más podrá darte. Ni tus estudios, ni tu trabajo (si lo tienes), ni tus padres, ni Erasmus, ni tus colegas... Y no te engañes con que vas a perder un tiempo precioso, quizás una fabulosa oportunidad de trabajo que puede que esté a la vuelta de la esquina. No seas membrillo, no hay nada más urgente y vital que esto.

Sal de tu área de confort, busca el hueco, carga la mochila y tira para adelante con lo que puedas, como puedas y hasta donde puedas. Tómate tu tiempo y el mundo por montera, a ver quién te quita lo bailado. El bagaje que ganes te hará más fuerte, menos influenciable, más abierto y en definitiva mucho mejor persona de lo que crees que ya eres.

* DIY or Do it yourself is a term used to describe building, modifying, or repairing of something without the aid of experts or professionals. DIY movement is related to the Arts and Crafts movement, in that it offers an alternative to modern consumer culture's emphasis on relying on others to satisfy needs. A DIY oriented person is the one who would seek out the knowledge for him/herself.

Our educational system, in its entirety, does nothing to give us any kind of material competence. In other words, we don't learn how to cook, how to make clothes, how to build houses, how to make love, or to do any of the absolutely fundamental things of life. The whole education that we get for our children in school is entirely in terms of abstractions. It trains you to be an insurance salesman or a bureaucrat, or some kind of cerebral character.
